Schedule of electric trains station winter. Train timetable: Zima. From the station "Winter" at any time of the year

And so in the regional center all types of intercity and urban transport are presented. If we talk about transportation within the city, then buses, trolleybuses and trams are available to residents. But if we talk about trips to other settlements, then the railway remains out of competition here, because Irkutsk is a large junction on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

In Irkutsk, even railway stations are equated with monuments

To service passenger and freight railroad transportation, 2 stations have been built in Irkutsk: “Irkutsk-passenger” and “Irkutsk-Sortirovochny”. The main station is the first one serving long-distance and suburban trains.

The station building appeared here in 1897, and exactly 100 years later, a major reconstruction was carried out.

By the way, the Irkutsk railway station is considered a monument of federal significance. The station is equipped with three platforms with 14 tracks.

Little Winter of the winter region

But the Irkutsk region is not only its capital, there are many interesting and original settlements here. One of them is Zima, located at a distance of 230 km from the regional center. This settlement became a city in 1922; today the population of Zima is just over 30 thousand people. Despite the small number of residents, there are schools, lyceums, vocational schools, youth sports schools, cultural and entertainment centers, a cinema and other social infrastructure in the village.

From the station "Winter" at any time of the year

If we talk about transport, you can get to or leave the city by bus or rail. Zima has a large station that connects the city with other settlements in the region. The station of the same name appeared in parallel with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway and today it serves several dozen long-distance flights. From here you can get not only to other cities of the country (Moscow, Vladivostok, Chita), but also to other states: China, Mongolia.
