The best vacation spots in autumn in Belarus. Rest in the fall. Tourist season in Belarus

Autumn is not a melancholy or preparation for hibernation. Before you pull on your fleeced pantaloons and cork up your apartment for the winter, you have time to redo a bunch of things. It is not at all necessary to go for this. In their native spaces, there are also ideas for inspiration. What to do in autumn in Belarus? To start, we generate 10 activities: from a raid in theaters to floundering in a picturesque swamp.

Go to the forest

There is no need to wait for a special reason to go to the forest, as well as a special season. But autumn is a special case. Take it - I don't want to: mushrooms, cranberries, wild rosemary. Mushrooms love paths, trees and stumps, and look for cranberries and wild rosemary in the swamps. Berries - in jams, pies, liqueurs, and the medicinal herb with a thick aroma will embrace your bronchi. But the best in this harmless hunt belongs not to the result, but to the excitement of the search. At the same time pleasing the eyes with landscapes, breathing in the fresh air and listening to the singing of birds. A wonderful bonus - ticks and mosquitoes have already been neutralized.

Join high culture

Cultural events in the fall take a fresh start. Classes differ from each other strikingly, but each strives to bring you closer to the beautiful - not only can you roll cans in the fall. There are many events: theatrical performances, fashion shows, ethno-festivals and a lot of other things. The poster is filled to the brim. But what we advise you to pay attention to:

Theater, film, art festivals. From "Thearta"(September 20 - October 16) before "Listapada"(November 2-9), Beat Weekend, Environmental Film Festival " Planetarium»In Minsk or festival of contemporary choreography(IFMC) in Vitebsk (November 21-25).

Lecture halls. To get started, monitor the (free) metropolitan areas: Fialta projects, " Corps says » and « Massaraksh ».

Literary evenings. The coolest thing here is poetry festival in Novogrudok (October 6-7), the cradle of national romanticism, where it is worth getting at least in honor of the 220th anniversary of the birth of Adam Mickiewicz.

National culture festivals. To fall to the roots, in order to learn a little more about your culture and love it a little more, go to "Call of Polesye"(September 22nd) where you will plunge into the colorful life of the Poleshuk. Or at "You ask for Makosha" to Korelic region (October 15).

Ball. Why not? In the Ivye region, for example, it will thunder "Echo of a Forgotten Ball at Barbara Radziwill's" (The 20th of October)... With costumes, workshops and classical music.

Belarusian Fashion Week (November 7-11)- everything is clear: look at others and show yourself.

Eat and drink

It's time to taste the harvested crop. Following the western brewing centers, Belarus is bursting with its own craft beer festivals - for example, AktoЎber FEST in the Sandbox (September 22nd) or Minsk Craft Beer Fest in Minsk OK16 (September 29)... This is not a large-scale analogue of a bar in a deli: there will be good music, food courts, and company.

Separate events are dedicated to food. In autumn you will have time to hook festival in Gomel(until October 14) and fit into everyone's enjoyment of seafood In Minsk (October 25 - November 25).

Fans of eco-friendly and organic food should dilute their autumn plans with a trip to vegan fest in Corpus (November 4th).

Go hiking and have an active rest

Before the weather turns the landscapes into a viscous gray mess, go hiking. Classic hiking trails. In addition to them, there are hikes where you need to strain not quite on your own two feet - for example, horse or bike trips. Other options for outdoor activities are also in no hurry to roll into hibernation: at the end of the swimming season, you can master august water marathon(September 28-30)... And if this does not make your heart beat faster, choose your option.

Go to Saturday or volunteer

Ideal time: not too hot and not too cold yet. Several autumn days should be devoted to trips to the most beautiful places in Belarus - protected natural areas. A foray into the vastness, practically untouched by man, will come out in its own way in each of the locations. Somewhere you will be carried away on a beaver safari, somewhere they will arrange a thematic excursion, somewhere else they will take you over the forest by helicopter. Where to go, how to get and what to do in the bosom of nature, we told in detail.

Join history

This option is valid all year round, but with its own specifics in each season. In autumn, it's time to arrange an ethnographic hunt for those national rituals that have reached the calendar turn. For example, to see how, according to the customs of ancestors, they celebrate Bagach, harvest festival, in Ozerts (September 22nd) or

There will be no surprise: in Belarus there is no sea and mountains, there is no exotic or some particularly outlandish architecture. But!...

In Belarus there is no sea and mountains, there is no exotic or some particularly outlandish architecture. But, nevertheless, this country occupies an honorable place in the tourist ratings of Russians for several reasons. Firstly, no difficulties with entry, and even a passport is not needed. Secondly, this is almost Europe with the corresponding attributes: castles, churches, fortresses and medieval ruins. Well, and the last argument - magnificent natural landscapes, from which you simply cannot take your eyes off.

When?

There is something to do in Belarus all year round. Of course, the high season is traditionally considered late spring, summer and early autumn, when the sun often appears in the sky (about the weather). It was during this period that large flows of tourists rush to the country, sanatoriums and recreation centers are loaded to the maximum, prices in hotels literally skyrocket. In March, April and October, when the weather is changeable, it is better to go on excursions to memorial complexes and museums; in winter, ski resorts (for example, Silichi) and all-season sanatoriums are popular.

The cultural program

There are many noteworthy places in Belarus, each region can boast of something like that. But there is a mandatory minimum, which no tourist will pass by. We should start with the classics of the genre (where can we go without it!) - Nesvizh and Mir castles. The first is an ideal example of European Baroque in its northern version, the second was erected in the unique style of the Belarusian Gothic. Both are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and are considered the architectural gems of the country.

It is worth staying here for at least a few days to see the sights. It is most convenient to start from the Upper Town, which is called the main tourist center. Baroque temples, classical mansions and monuments of the 16-19 centuries have been preserved there. From there you can walk to Trinity Suburb - a reconstructed historical area built up with pretty stone mansions with a tiled roof. Interesting museums and cozy cafes are hidden behind the walls of the houses. And, finally, the Red Church on Sovetskaya Street: austere Northern Gothic, a crude neo-Romanesque style and ornate constructivism are mixed in its appearance.

And in Minsk, as if all the ambitions of the architects of the Soviet era were embodied. They realized their desire for gigantomania when designing the squares of Independence, Victory and Pryvokzalnaya. Just what are the monumental towers "The Gate of Minsk" and the huge Government House.

40 km from Minsk there is a museum park "Dudutki" dedicated to traditional crafts and provincial life.

The Brest Fortress is one of the largest monuments on the territory of Belarus, dedicated to the history of the Great Patriotic War. The Khatyn complex was erected in memory of all the victims of the genocide who suffered in those terrible years. These places make a very strong impression on visitors, no one will go indifferent.

Nature trails and outdoor activities

You can fully enjoy the beauty of the landscapes, and at the same time you can fully relax and recharge your batteries in the sanatoriums, boarding houses and tourist centers of the Braslav Lakes National Park and the Sorochansky Lakes Wildlife Refuge. They do whatever their heart desires: they walk, fish, ride bicycles and sunbathe on equipped beaches in the warm season.

The best "beach resorts" are considered (Zaslavskoe reservoir) and the lake. Naroch, located on the territory of the Naroch National Park. By the way, this reserve is the most famous health center in the country.

In the famous Belovezhskaya Pushcha, travelers will find legendary bison, which allow themselves to be fed from their hands, and 600-year-old oaks - the same age as the Grand Duke of Lithuania Jagailo.

In summer for active tourists there is plenty of space: canoeing along the Neman, cycling trips along the picturesque plains of Poozerye, horseback riding deep into the forests of the Berezinsky reserve. Not far from Minsk there are ski centers ", where colorful shows with the participation of fur seals and dolphins are constantly held. The nearby dinopark is a real jungle in which giant prehistoric lizards lurk. The city planetarium can be visited with schoolchildren to see spherical films about the structure of the Universe. But kids will also enjoy watching funny performances in the circus.

In winter, you should plan a trip to one of the residences of Santa Claus. The main one is located in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. This is a whole estate with fairytale towers, where guests are greeted by magical characters. And the incredible Christmas tree several tens of meters high will delight even skeptical parents who have long ceased to believe in miracles.

Older children will be happy to spend time in the Sula History Park, located just 50 km from the capital. This is an interactive museum, the so-called “Belarus in miniature”. Another entertaining attraction is the children's railway named after I. K. S. Zaslonova in Minsk.

As you know, Belarus over the past 10 years has taken a solid place in the line of the most popular resorts among Russians. The advantage of these resorts, in their all seasonality, and spa treatment. It is the treatment in the sanatoriums of Belarus that is the main feature of this area of tourism. With a modern medical base and professional staff, the sanatoriums of Belarus attract more and more new fans. One of the important advantages of resorts in Belarus is the off-season. But for all the year-round nature, of course, you can rest in Belarus in different months in different ways.

Average temperature in September:

during the day +17 at night +8 water + 14

Now we will discuss the holiday in September, how it is better or worse than in other months.

The advantages of resting in the sanatoriums of Belarus in September 2020:

  1. During this period, there is no excitement, which means that you can book such a room in such a sanatorium that you liked, and not what is left.
  2. September is very comfortable in the climatic sense. In September, there is no heat in Belarus, and there is no cold, a very moderate and comfortable period for recovery with almost any diagnosis.
  3. In September, especially after September 5-6, there is practically no problem buying train or plane tickets.
  4. After high demand in July-August, prices for vouchers naturally decrease, this is also a pleasant factor for choosing September as a period for vacation.

The beauty of the Braslav Lakes is beyond competition. This is confirmed by the first place in our rating and thousands of tourists who visit these places every year.

Braslav lakes, located in the vicinity of Braslav, are considered one of the largest lake groups in Belarus. These are more than 50 lakes, which differ from each other in size, depth, color and even the smell of water. Their total area is over 130 sq. km, and the basin area exceeds 800 sq. km. The lakes are interconnected by streams, rivulets, channels, more than 300 kilometers long. The most popular lakes among tourists are Drivyaty, Tsno, Nespish, Nedrovo, Potsekh, Voiso, Boloiso, Strusto, Snudy, Volos Severny and Volos Yuzhny.

Bird's-eye view of Braslav lakes

The recreational opportunities of the Braslav region were first appreciated by vacationers from Vilna and Warsaw - they appeared here back in the 20s of the twentieth century. Since then, the region's infrastructure has begun to gradually develop - holiday homes and children's camps have appeared, and a marina for yachts and boats has been built on the shore of Lake Drivyaty. A feature of Braslav at that time was sailing regattas, which attracted crowds of local residents and visiting tourists. The next surge of interest in the Braslav region happened in the post-war years, when a recreation area was organized here. With the increasing number of tourists, the lake shores are under the threat of pollution. To prevent it, in August 1995 the National Park "Braslav Lakes" was created with the administration in Braslav. The territory occupied by the park is almost 70 thousand hectares. The largest lakes are Drivyaty, Snudy, Strusto, Boginskoe. It is home to about 30 species of fish, including eel, pike perch, pike, burbot.

Upon agreement with the owner, a fishing boat can be rented

And go fishing early

Elks, bears, wild boars, roe deer, wolves, lynxes live in the forests of the national park.

Some of them can be seen in enclosures located in Ratskoy Bor, a few kilometers from the city: you can watch wild animals for 2,130 rubles, and a group tour of the enclosures will cost 31,420 rubles. In the national park, excursion routes around Braslav and its environs have been developed for tourists.

Boginskoe lake.If you look closely, you can see the silhouette of an old man in a cap with a cigarette in his mouth.

Water tourists are frequent guests on the Braslav Lakes, because here there is a unique opportunity to hike along the system of lakes. The central part of the lake group is connected by the Druika River: the river beds and its tributaries are quite wide, allowing kayaks and boats to pass. Most often, water routes begin from Lake Drivyaty, the largest in the Braslav region and the fifth largest in Belarus: its area is 36.1 sq. km. Drivyaty is located near Braslav itself, and a sandy embankment stretches along the northern shore of the reservoir. The lake is shallow - the maximum depth does not exceed 12 meters. It is shallow along the coast, which is especially convenient for vacationers with children. However, one should be careful - depths and shallow waters alternate on the lake. You can go on water trips on your own, or as part of organized groups along the routes offered by the national park. Do not forget that the Braslav region borders on Latvia and Lithuania, and many of the region's attractions are located in the border zone. Now there is no need to issue a special pass: the tourist only needs to purchase an insurance policy for a year, leave a deposit in the bank in the amount of 6 thousand rubles, and check in at the nearest border service. Lakeside recreation areas are not included in the border zone.

The landscapes on the Braslav lakes are very diverse

How to get there: From Braslav to Minsk - 240 kilometers. Buses and minibuses run daily from the Moscow bus station in its direction. Additional flights are possible during the summer season. From Minsk to Braslav there are highways M3 (direction to Vitebsk, turn left in Begoml) and P53 (through Myadel and Postavy).

In winter, the Braslav region is not only beautiful ...

... but also fun: “kalyadavats "go by large, noisy companies

The hotel at the Museum of Traditional Culture "Zayezny Dvor" can simultaneously accommodate 14 people. Sights: Acquaintance with the lake region should begin with Braslav. The population of this town does not exceed 12 thousand, but in the summer it increases significantly. There are two museums in Braslav. The local history department has comprehensive information about the history of the region and offers excursions in the surrounding area. In the Museum of Traditional Culture, housed in a stone mill, you can see modern and ancient crafts, meet artisans and buy souvenirs. The historical center of Braslav is the Castle Hill. There is a monument-lighthouse on it, installed on the grave of the famous doctor Stanislav Narbut in the Braslav region. Now in the city there is a monument to the doctor himself - it is located near the building of the Braslav regional hospital. The Castle Hill is a wonderful observation deck from which you can see the Drivyaty and Novyaty lakes. Walking along the perimeter of the mountain, you can see the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God, which houses the icon of the Mother of God Braslav Lady of the Lakes, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as the building of a former rural hospital built of red brick, which now houses an Orthodox nunnery.

The glory of the best observation point in the vicinity of Braslav was given to Mount Mayak - it rises almost 45 meters above the water level. A wooden staircase leads to the observation deck, which offers gorgeous views of the Snudy and Strusto lakes.

In the distance you can see a snow-white church in Slobodka, and if you look closely, you can see the outlines of the Castle Hill in Braslav. On the way to Mount Mayak, you can visit the Okmenitsa healing spring, which is popularly called Zimnik. Mineral water of sodium chloride type flows from it, very cold, which is especially pleasing in the heat.

On the way to the village of Slobodka, there is an archaeological monument - the settlement of Maskovichi, from which you can see the lakes Nespish and Nedrovo, and in the distance you can see the spiers of the Slobodkovsky church and the ridge of the lake. Climbing the hill on the opposite side of the road from the settlement, you can see a small lake of regular round shape - local historians call it "God's eye".

In the village of Slobodka, you can visit the white-stone church, which is visible from the Mayak mountain and the Maskovichi settlement. The Church of the Providence of God, or the Heart of Jesus, was built in 1901-1903.

The urban village of Druya is located 35 kilometers from Braslav. One of its attractions is the Borisov stone, raised from the bottom of the Druyka River. It is also worth visiting the Church of the Holy Trinity, built with the money of Kazimir Lev Sapieha. And on the bank of the Western Dvina, along which the border with Latvia runs, there is the Annunciation Church, an architectural monument of the late 18th – 19th centuries. Druja has a large Jewish cemetery with many interesting monuments.

In the village of Akhremovtsi there is an old park "Belmont", founded in the 18th century. Its name is translated from French as "beautiful mountain". A beautiful view of Lake Drivyaty opens from a high hill in the park. Now the park is in disrepair - nevertheless, walks along its shady alleys are not devoid of romance.

The town of Vidzy is located 40 kilometers from Braslav. Here it is worth visiting the Church of the Holy Trinity, which is considered one of the highest churches in Belarus - the height of its spiers reaches 59 meters. The Old Believers' Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is located in Vidzy, and one of the iconic sights of the town is the grave of Tomas Vavzhetsky, a public figure of the 18th - early 19th centuries, who was born in the Braslav region. In the village of Vidzy-Lovchinsky, there is a manor and a manor park that once belonged to the Vavzhetskys. In the town of Opsa, on the shore of the lake, there is a manor house, which now stands in desolation. An oak tree that is more than 200 years old grows in the manor park. They say that Napoleon once rested under the most ancient tree of the Braslav region. In the center of the town, it is worth looking into the church of St. John the Baptist, built in the neo-Gothic style.

What's unusual here: At the end of May, the city traditionally hosts a holiday "Braslav Lightning", which may be of interest to lovers of folklore - groups from Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries perform on the Braslav stage. Every year in late July or early August, the Crafts Festival is celebrated in the courtyard of the Museum of Traditional Culture. The mini-festival takes place at the height of the summer season and gathers not only locals, but also tourists. The program of the holiday traditionally includes a demonstration of modern and ancient crafts, medieval music performed by metropolitan groups, dance master classes, and ancient cuisine. Lovers of experimental archeology, showing weaving on a vertical loom, spinning on a spindle, processing and dyeing wool, knitting with a bone needle, weaving fishing nets, and ancient methods of writing, are of constant interest among tourists.

On August 22, Braslav becomes the center of pilgrims' pilgrimage - the Festival of the Mother of God Lady of the Lakes is held in the church. This icon is considered miraculous and was crowned by the Pope last year. The icon is kept in the altar of the church and is opened for viewing on the most solemn occasions. Tourists and vacationers can look at the icon by asking a priest or the monastery of the Eucharist Sisters. Braslav Lakes can also be seen from a bird's eye view - this is possible thanks to the employees of the Vitebsk DOSAAF, whose helicopter appears on the lakes during festive events. The flight duration is usually no more than ten minutes, but this is quite enough to get an unforgettable experience of the beauty of the lakes below. This summer, tourists will be able to take a walk along Lake Drivyaty on the open deck of the Braslav Lakes motor ship. The motor ship is moored in the bay of the lake at the recreation center "Drivyaty". From it the ship goes out into the big water, makes an hour's walk, during which a view of the temples of Braslav, Castle Hill, the embankment, the forested coastline, and returns back. The vessel can accommodate 24 people. The cost of the walk is 6500 Belarusian rubles per person. The motor ship sets sail five days a week at 11.00, 14.00, 17.00 and 20.00, except Monday and Tuesday, when the captain has a day off. If the required number of passengers is not gathered, the cost of the trip increases. The profitable amount of the ship's exit is 185 170 rubles, which is divided by the tourists present. You can also order the ship unscheduled. This opportunity is often used by newlyweds who, after the registry office, invite guests for a walk on the lake. The motor ship starts operation in June and ends in September.

The Braslav Lakes have everything to have a good rest: beautiful lakes, sandy beaches, many historical monuments, hospitality of local residents. To get from Moscow to Belarus, you need to get on a plane and spend a little less than an hour and a half of your time. Many people prefer to travel by their own car - they will have to go more, but at the same time you will see a lot of interesting things along the way. This article is for all types of tourists.

Belarus is a country of lakes, dense forests and beautiful medieval castles. Most of the sights are located outside Minsk - these places will be discussed. We will compile a list of the most popular corners of "Blue-eyed Belarus", visit its natural and cultural monuments, drive around this country by car in autumn and winter.

Where to go and what to see in Belarus

Belarus is a compact country, so you won't spend a lot of time exploring interesting places. In a time pressure situation, you can limit yourself to the Minsk region. Drive to Logoisk, ride on the slopes there. Visit the old estates near Minsk. Go to Dudutki - there are many interesting things.

And here is the situation in other regions of the country:

  • Vitebsk region... Lake District, where you can have a good rest, renting a camping or living in a sanatorium. The region is dotted with small towns, there is a very favorable ecology.
  • Brest region... There you will find two must-see points of the cultural program - the Brest Fortress and the Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
  • Gomel region... The most interesting places are concentrated in Gomel and Mozyr. It also doesn't hurt to visit Vetka - the original local history museum is located there.
  • The Grodno region... This is the western region of Belarus, and therefore the most significant historical monuments are concentrated here - churches, medieval castles, old estates and pre-revolutionary houses. Be sure to visit Lida during the knightly tournament there.
  • Mogilev region... There is practically nothing to see here. There are several ancient buildings, temples and monasteries in Mogilev. Be sure to visit Bobruisk - the legendary city of "padonkaff", to which all persons who did not speak the "Albanian language" were "exiled".

In a time pressure situation, limit yourself to the Minsk region.

Top 5 most interesting places in Belarus

From a superficial overview of areas, let's move on to specific examples. We have sorted out the most popular Belarusian sights, removed part of the "mainstream" and left the corners really worthy of your attention. Do not be surprised if little-known sights of Belarus appear here:

To Belarus by car - where to go

Going to Belarus in the summer, you can easily go by your own car. The roads in Belarus are good, and there are no problems with roadside hotels.

Nothing prevents you from visiting Belarusian lakes and relaxing in a camping, and then going to the legendary Belovezhskaya Pushcha.

Three-day trip around Belarus - minimum program

If you are imbued with the idea of a summer trip, but do not have extra time, it is worth planning an express trip to the key places of the country. A detailed acquaintance with the sights of the Republic of Belarus will force you to confine yourself to the Minsk and Vitebsk regions. However, you can do a lot in three days. So, what to see in Belarus in three days or over a weekend by car in the summer:

From Grodno, go to Lida (there it is worth looking at the brewery and the Lida Castle), then to Smorgon and, finally, to Polotsk. Perhaps you will not have time to see anything else, since it is better to allocate a whole day to Polotsk.

The arrival of cold weather and Belarusian sights

With the onset of autumn, a lot changes. Lakes, biosphere reserves and ethnocultural villages are not included in the list. In autumn, in Belarus, you can see this:

  • Chagall House Museum... To see this memorable place, you need to go to Vitebsk, to Pokrovskaya Street, 11. It was here that the famous artist lived, of whom all Belarusians are proud. Visiting the art center, you can admire the graphic works of the master. The ticket price ranges from 20-90 thousand "squirrels".
  • Borisov stone... This unique artifact is located in Polotsk. In autumn, the stone looks especially harsh, reminding tourists of the frailty of life. A mysterious text and an image of a cross are carved on the boulder. You can find this "Belarusian Stonehenge" at 1 Zamkova Street.
  • Golshany castle... The majestic ruins of the castle are located in the Grodno region (not far from the town of Golshany). After leaving this settlement, move in the direction of Juratik. You will see ruins to the right of the road.

It is better to allocate a whole day to Polotsk.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, it is worth thinking about visiting some specific corners of Belarus. On New Year's Eve, we recommend watching this:
