Montenegro, Dobre Vode, food and other impressions. Montenegro, Dobrota village. Love for life. Tourist review of Montenegro Healing air in good water

The more reviews you read about trips to Montenegro, the more convinced you are of their custom-made nature. Yes, and it’s not surprising that on the first pages of the sites there are professional descriptions of travel agency workers or. No doubt - a tiny country, once part of a federal state Yugoslavia, has its advantages.

The main one is its location at the foot of the ancient mountains on the Adriatic coast. And everything would be great if it weren’t for the endless references to nature and food.
It is nutritious, “ecologically friendly” (what does that mean?), and healthy. Just like in the speeches of M.S. Gorbachev - there are a lot of words, but no meaning. For a long time now, world scientists have come to the conclusion: the concept of “ environmentally friendly product“does not exist, there is something else - “environmentally safe product”. Even if chemical fertilizers and pest control products are not used in a given country, it is impossible to talk about the “purity” of the grown crop. After all, in the neighboring state they all use this. And also recent wars, dirty drains from common rivers, acid rain, again...
In general, all cows eat the same grass and produce the same milk and meat.
Yes, so what's up with Montenegro-That? And here's the thing with her. All Serbia comes to relax by the sea in June-August. Where else should they go? WITH Croatia and Albania the relationship is broken, the path there is closed. Just 3 hours by car from Belgrade to the sea. Dobre Vode– a super resort and you’re lying on your belly.
In a tiny state there is a place Dobre Voda similar to Sochi. Plus, Russian citizens have bought houses and apartments in immeasurable quantities (they don’t live there themselves, they rent them out to Russians). Total on the beach 1 sq.m. occupy one and a half people.
All beaches in Montenegro are large-pebble, but Dobre Voda has small pebbles, hence the name - Great Sand (Veliki Pijesak). There is no sand. In the eyes of microscopic states, the length of a beach strip of 500 meters is Great! The entrance to the sea is large stones.
There are an endless number of fast food places along the embankments; even expensive restaurants sell pizza, burgers, and other chewing gum.

They praise on the sites soups/cherbu. Unfortunately, there are only three of them - veal, chicken and (in some restaurants) fish. These are all cream soups. Believe me, you shouldn't order them in a cafe. Well, maybe once or twice. Buy a packet of soup and cook it (if you rented an apartment with a kitchen), you will get the same thing. If you haven’t heard anything about borscht with pampushkas, hearty cabbage soup or with sorrel, pickles, meat and fish solyankas, mushroom and pea soups, cereals, etc., then these 3 dishes will be great! However, in addition to hamburgers, in Russian cuisine there are charming cheesecakes, pies with meat and cabbage, pies with fish and liver, pancake pies and... countless. But this is Russian cuisine, and we are talking about Montenegrin.
Having traveled halfway around the world, I responsibly declare - There is nothing better than Russian cuisine! In terms of diversity: we have long mixed Russian, Ukrainian and French, South Asian and Arabic, vegetarian, meat and fish cuisines. In a decent restaurant to choose from!
Montenegrin beaches are tiny areas with rented sunbeds from 3 to 8 euros/day.
By law, tenants (hotels) do not have the right to occupy more than 50% of the beach area; in fact, they occupy 90%. “Wild”, free, tiny 10-20 meters, packed from early morning. The entrance to the sea is rocky everywhere, from Duke of Novi to Ulcinj. You can’t do without special shoes (8 euro slippers). The problem of “having a snack” does not exist, there is the problem of “eating normally”. The food is very monotonous. Liters of beer and cola, kilograms of pizza, hamburgers and burgers are consumed by young people and teenagers. Do you hope to eat seafood on the Adriatic? It's possible, but 3-5 times more expensive than meat! You can forget about other seafood, such as shrimp, squid and lobster. They are available only in fashionable restaurants at prices starting from 30 euros/100g. All this does not matter if you come for 5-7 days. And if for 3-4 weeks, and even with children?
All kinds of porridges, cheesecakes, cottage cheese with sour cream and the like are exotic in this country. Meat goulash, fried sausages, fried steak, fried chicken pieces, fried pancakes - paragraph! After 7 days you will want homemade food, and after another 5 days your stomach will remind you who’s boss!
There are few excursions (so the country is small) – Skadar lake It's worth a look, it'll impress. If you haven't been to Baikal or Seliger. Otherwise you will be disappointed.
Trip to old fortresses, old town Kotor, Bar, Budva distinguished by a picturesque road. The price is the same, the excursion is 35-45 euros/person. You can take a taxi and for the same money explore the old cities en masse.
Have you already been to Prague? Then you will see little new. Medieval Europe very similar in its antiquity. Narrow streets, tall stone houses with loopholes and... an endless series of souvenir boutiques and restaurants. However, for deeply religious people there are excursions to monasteries: Cetinski, Ostrog, Daibabe with the right hands and relics of the saints. There are many ruins of military fortifications. From Bara ferry goes to Italian city Bari.

The excursion is possible if you do not have a Schengen visa, but you will not be allowed into Italy beyond this town.
However, Montenegro with its wonderful climate and clear waters Adriatic repels with crowds and urban landscape.

Problems of the trampled tourist routes supplemented by exhaust fumes from hundreds of private cars and taxis. People and cars alternately make their way along the embankment.
Resort towns similar to our new regional centers with 5-7-story block houses, a lot of transport and a lack of interchanges.

Only Bay of Kotor slightly preserves the stamp of old years and fairy-tale peace. One-story houses under red tiles, soft music from cafes/restaurants, sunset, silver moon in the bay. All this is a little further from the old city. In the Prcanj or Dobro area.

The currently unemployed population is forced to scurry around in search of income for 3-4 months, which lasts tourist season. Evening attractions for children and adults (1-4 euro/piece)

Housing is available for rent everywhere. Moreover, apartments are usually cheaper than a modest hotel room.

Such a spartan room with a shared bathroom costs 35-40 euros/day. If you have a pool, you will also have to pay for sun loungers.
The main transport is taxi. 0.5-0.8 landing and 0.8-1E km run. Sometimes it is cheaper to negotiate with the driver in advance. Buses run, but not frequently and on schedule. And first you need to find it out somewhere.
Merchants are showing incredible ingenuity to attract tourists

Another thing is interesting. Some hotels have a gallery of old photos. So, the Adriatic coast of Montenegro was almost deserted back in 2000. No cars, no tourists, no stupid sun loungers with umbrellas. The sea breeze mixed with the resinous smell of pine forests descending to the water. Small villages. Tall, handsome fishermen and their pretty girlfriends. But...those days are gone.

I know that many people think that Montenegro is all mountains. Nothing like this! Here, by the way, there are 73 kilometers of the purest, one might even say pristine beaches with amazingly clear sea water, and the Dobra Voda resort is no exception.

I would like to warn you right away that this is a small village in which there are no modern five-star hotels and corresponding paraphernalia. Housing here is rented from local residents, but in general, ideally, this is a place for those who like to live in a tent on the shore of a gentle sea. There are two magnificent beaches, Velikiy Piesak and Maly Piesak. Their special difference is their clear water with a turquoise tint.

If you suddenly want to taste the fruits of civilization, then it’s nearby, literally 7 km away. The city of Bar is located (Bar is the name of the city and not what you thought).

There are not many restaurants and other entertainment establishments on the resort territory, but of those that exist, I would like to highlight the XXL restaurant, which has mouth-watering fish dishes and wonderful local wine.

HOLIDAY PRICES:

How much does a holiday in Dobra-Voda cost? August 2016.

tour cost

We flew to Montenegro from Moscow. We had a rest for a whole month. Citizens of the Russian Federation do not require a visa; they are allowed to stay in Montenegro for up to 90 days. We lived with friends, so we didn’t have to pay rent. Plane tickets were booked through the aviasales website; for two people it cost 46,000 rubles (round trip). Having arrived at the airport in Tivat, we decided to get to our vacation spot by bus, because this way it is much more profitable than using a taxi. From Tivat airport to Dobra Voda is about 60 km, so a bus trip for two costs 19 euros, while a taxi would cost 50 euros.

Prices for excursions are not high. Sightseeing tour of all the monasteries of Montenegro, incl. visiting the holiest places, such as Ostrog Monastery, Cetinje Monastery, etc. costs 40 euros per person. A boat trip from Dobra Voda to Budva costs 10 euros per person. However, after reading the price list, we decided that using the services of Rentacar would be much more profitable. A day of car rental costs 35 euros. We rented a car for 2 days in Bar. On the first day we visited the southern part of the coast of Montenegro, namely the city of Ulcinj, Old city Ulcinj, city beach, Great Sand beach, Ada-Bojana river, after which we went to the coast of Lake Skadar. This path lay through Mountain peaks and beautiful mountain villages. The next day we visited the Ostrog Monastery, the city of Cetinje, Mount Lovcen, on which the Njegus Mausoleum is located, then the city of Budva. Thus, the price for the car and gasoline was only 90 euros for two days.

Food and products

Prices in cafes have become more expensive compared to previous years. Non-alcoholic drinks cost 1-1.5 euros, a glass of beer - 1.5 euros, coffee - 2 euros, national Chorba soup - 2.5 euros, a Meshano Meso dish, which includes 400 grams of meat and a portion of fries - 7 euros. The portions are very large, so we took one Meshano Meso for two. A check for two people averages 14 euros. Prices in stores are approximately the same as in Moscow. Example: a huge loaf of bread - 0.6 euros, milk - 1.6 euros, tomatoes - 0.6 euros, peaches - 0.8 euros, meat - 2.5 euros kg, a bottle of Vanac wine 2.5-5 euros. Eating on your own is cheaper than visiting restaurants and cafes every day. These products were purchased at the Voli supermarket. Basically, prices in markets are the same.

Souvenirs and other goods

Clothes prices are encouraging again. Branded clothing from Italy can be bought much cheaper than in Moscow, especially during the discount period that takes place in Montenegro in the fall. T-shirts and shirts cost an average of 10-15 euros. During the discount period, a leather jacket from Italy can be bought for 25-30 euros. Souvenirs cost 1-3 euros.

Cost of services and entertainment

Rent a car - 35 euros per day, taxi fare - 1 euro - 1 km, you can negotiate cheaper with private individuals, even at the price of a bus. A bus from Bar to Budva costs 4 euros per person.
