The Spanish Consulate is loyal to Russian citizens. In 95% of cases, you will be approved for a multiple-entry visa for 6 months, even on your first application (this does not apply to urgent visa requests). In this way, the Spanish government is trying to increase the country's attractiveness for tourists. Most applicants do not know about such “generosity” of the Spanish Consulate, which selfish agencies can take advantage of, promising each of their clients a multiple-entry visa, and even for six months at once. Even if you decide to contact an agency, know that an approved multiple-entry visa is absolutely not their merit.

Of course, there are exceptions when the Spaniards issue visas for a shorter period or, instead of a Schengen visa, they issue a national Spanish visa (not a Schengen visa), which will not allow you to get anywhere other than Spain. However, most often this happens to applicants who have previously been noted for incorrect use of visas, “bad behavior” or violation of the law or visa regime in the territory, having a corresponding mark about themselves in the database. Such cases are really few, however, they cannot be completely excluded. Please read the visa application carefully.

Since September 14, 2015, Russia has had a new system for issuing visas to the Schengen countries. Russian citizens will need to undergo the procedure of collecting biometric data: fingerprints and digital photography.
Due to these innovations and the increased workload of the Consulates of the Schengen countries, documents must be submitted in advance.

If necessary, the Consulate may request a repeat procedure for removing biometric data. The procedure for submitting biometric data must be completed by authorized persons. Submitting a set of documents to the visa center for a visa and completing the procedure for taking biometric data is carried out strictly on the same day. Please note that it is not possible to submit documents for a visa to a visa center in Moscow, but to submit biometric data at a visa center in another city in Russia.
