Vessel class - KM II Ice1 AUT1-ICS, VCS, ECO-S, OMBO, Oil tanker (ESP) of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping

VF TANKER-17 is a steel single-deck motor ship equipped with two rotary rudder propellers, with a forecastle and poop, with a rear deckhouse and engine-boiler room, with a double bottom, double sides and a trunk in the area of cargo tanks.

The motor ship is designed for the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products, including gasoline, without flash point restrictions, ensuring the transportation of cargo while maintaining a temperature of 60 ºС and the simultaneous transportation of 2 types of cargo.

The transport can be operated in ice-free seas (all year round), in small broken rarefied ice of non-Arctic seas (independent navigation in small broken rarefied ice 0.40 m thick at a speed of 5 knots; navigation in a channel behind an icebreaker in solid ice 0.35 m thick at a speed of 3 knots ); work under conditions of extended navigation in rivers according to ice class Ice1 at an outside air temperature of –20 °C. The estimated outside air temperature is + 30 °C with a humidity of 60-65% in summer and at -23 °C with a humidity of 65-85% in winter, water from + 27 °C to 0 °C, respectively.

Launching of the RST27 project tanker - VF TANKER. Oka Shipyard - Navashino

Tankers of the RST27 project are self-propelled vessels of the Volgo-Don max class. Tankers are designed for mixed (river-sea) transportation in bulk of crude oil and petroleum products and simultaneous transportation of two types of cargo. Classification project RST27 was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa) for the class KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP). Detailed design is carried out by the Volga-Caspian Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod).

Vessels of the RST27 project have super-full contours, which ensures maximum carrying capacity when operating on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation. With a draft of 3.6 meters in the river, the deadweight of the vessel is 5,400 tons, this is the maximum value of all similar vessels. With a draft of 4.2 meters at sea, the deadweight is 6980 tons. The overall length of the vessel is 140.85 meters, width 16.86 meters, side height 6 meters. Operating speed 10.5 knots. The crew is 12 people, single cabins with sanitary cabins are provided for the crew.

When designing tankers, the special requirements of Russian and global oil companies and additional environmental restrictions of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping “ECO PROJECT” (ECO-S) class are taken into account; this provides significant advantages in the oil products transportation market.

The main engines are two medium-speed diesel engines with a power of 1200 kW each, running on heavy fuel with a viscosity of IFO380. Thruster - 230 kW.

The power plant consists of three 292 kW diesel generators and a 136 kW emergency standby diesel generator.
